Kelly Slater and eight other professional surfers allow players to navigate over 30 challenging levels across exotic locations. Using the Surf Trip mode, players choose paths to find the best breaks, performing signature pro moves and hundreds of trick combinations while riding barreling tubes and dropping down massive wave faces.

Pen Gu Island serves as the backdrop for the Reggie Belafonte Big Z Memorial Surf Off. Players select from up to ten characters to compete in Race, Freestyle, and Challenge modes across several environments, including Shiverpool and volcanic areas. The Championship mode requires finishing in the top three positions during races to unlock additional content and characters.
